VA delivered the project under budget in a reduced timescale, with all 44 intended employees in place and trained.
When the ‘operation’ being transferred is a full-blown engineering centre with no associated production activity then the challenges are compounded and the approach taken requires special care and attention. The margin for error is much smaller, and the execution of the project needs to be world class so as not to to blow all of the expected gains through excessive relocation and start-up costs.
